Rapid Trident 2021: Drills launch, set to involve 6,000 servicemen from 15 countries
This was reported by the press service of the Army’s Land Forces, Ukrinform wrote.
"The Ukrainian-American Rapid Trident 2021 exercise, in which 6,000 servicemen from 15 partner countries are taking part, will begin at the International Peacekeeping and Security Center on September 20," the statement said.
It is noted that the chief of the Ukrainian Army’s Land Forces Training Command, Major General Ihor Palahniuk, together with the head of the Ukrainian-American exercise Rapid Trident-2021, Brigadier General Vladyslav Klochkov, observed progress of combat coordination of one of the Land Forces’ mechanized brigades, as well as the readiness of the National Guard, the State Border Guard Service and the Military Law Enforcement Service.
The commanders also made sure the management staff, as well as the command post of a separate mechanized brigade and training ground facilities, are also ready for the joint exercise.
At the International Peacekeeping and Security Center in Lviv region, mechanized units with artillery support worked out tactical action during an offensive.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, Ukrainian-American command and staff exercises involving troops, Rapid Trident 2021, will last until October 1.
