Russian-led forces have violated the ceasefire in the area of the Joint Forces Operation in eastern Ukraine three times since midnight as of 11:00 on September 28, wounding two Ukrainian service members, the press service of the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces has reported on Facebook.
"Since the beginning of September 28, Russian occupation forces have violated the ceasefire three times. [...] Two service members of the Joint Forces sustained gunshot wounds as a result of hostilities. The soldiers are currently in a medical facility. Their condition is satisfactory," the report reads.
It notes that at night and at dawn, in the direction of Krymske, Russian-backed forces fired at Ukrainian positions from rocket-propelled grenades and small arms.
In addition, near Pavlopil, Russian occupation forces used automatic grenade launchers and small arms.
The Ukrainian military returned fire, forcing the enemy to stop the shelling, the report said.
