Ukrainian military get upgraded BMP-2 AFVs

Zhytomyr Armored Vehicle Factory, a state-owned company incorporated with the Ukroboronprom defense conglomerate, has successfully overhauled and modernized a batch of BMP-2 armored fighting vehicles and BREM-2 armored recovery vehicles and shipped them to the Ukrainian military, Ukroboronprom's press service has said.
Specialists of the enterprise restored the serviceability of the combat vehicles' units, installed modernized surveillance devices and fire control systems, checked and adjusted the operation of weapons, the report said.
"We have once again proved that Zhytomyr Armored Vehicle Factory is one of the best defense enterprises in Ukraine. The quantity and quality of the repaired BMP-2s and BREM-2s is an ironclad confirmation of that," said Hennadii Hrashchenkov, the company's director.
