Three Ukrainian border guards have been killed in combat today, the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine has reported on its website.
"Three border guards have been killed. Some border guards have been wounded. Despite this, border guards are fighting the occupier," the State Border Guard Service said.
The press service added that the border units act in accordance with the situation in the areas of responsibility and in cooperation with all defense forces. In the area of Kopani and Ivanovo in Kherson region, the Ukrainian military are rappelling enemy attacks.
In the area of Skadovsk, attacks were launched on the border commandant's unit of the rapid response.
As reported, the head of the aggressor country, Vladimir Putin, announced the start of a special military operation in Donbas. At around 04:00, on February 24, Russia attacked Ukraine and launched a war.
