Ukraine suggests that international partners should involve Ukrainian defense enterprises in solving the urgent problems of arms manufacturers in terms of increasing production rates.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba made a corresponding statement at an online briefing on Tuesday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

The minister noted that increasing the pace of weapons production was one of the main topics of his negotiations at the NATO ministerial meeting in Bucharest. He stated that after the start of the war in Ukraine, the world's arms manufacturers were faced with the problems of disruption of supply chains, a lack of workers and spare parts.

"Ukraine is working on equipping and re-arming the Armed Forces, and we suggest that international partners should involve Ukrainian arms manufacturers in solving urgent production problems and take into account the capabilities of the Ukrainian military industry in the long-term formation of joint plans. Active rearmament of the Armed Forces and revival of the national military industry corresponds to the long-term interests not only of Ukraine but also of the entire Euro-Atlantic area," Kuleba believes.
