New Zealand to provide Ukraine with $9.8M in military and humanitarian aid

Prime Minister of New Zealand Christopher Luxon has announced military and humanitarian aid to Ukraine worth $9.8 million.

Ambassador of Ukraine to Australia and New Zealand Vasyl Myroshnychenko announced this on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

“On the sidelines of the NATO summit in Washington, D.C., Prime Minister Christopher Luxon announced that his government would provide NZ$16 million (USD 9.8 million) in aid to Ukraine, including NZ$6 million (USD 3.68 million) in military aid and NZ$10 million (USD 6.12 million) in humanitarian aid,” the diplomat wrote.

According to him, the military aid includes NZ$4 million (USD2.45 million) for Ukraine's drone capability, which is being led by the United Kingdom and Latvia, and NZ$2 million (USD1.23 million) for Ukraine's military healthcare.

As reported, the NATO summit is taking place in Washington, D.C., with the participation of the Ukrainian delegation headed by President Volodymyr Zelensky.
