Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has dismissed Dmytro Perehudov as director general of the Ukroboronprom State Concern.

KYIV, June 27 /UKRINFORM/. Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has dismissed Dmytro Perehudov as director general of the Ukroboronprom State Concern.

A respective decree has been posted on the official website of the head of state.

Under another decree, Serhiy Hromov was appointed the new director general of Ukroboronprom.

Before his appointment as Ukroboronprom head, Hromov served as executive director of Promet Steel, part of Rinat Akhmetov's Metinvest Holding.

Hromov is a native of the town of Druzhkivka in Donetsk region. In 1996, he graduated from Donetsk State Technical University with a degree in engineering and economics.

On February 8, 2012, Viktor Yanukovych appointed Dmytro Perehudov as director general of the Ukroboronprom State Concern.

Perehudov previously headed Ukraine's state-owned arms exporter Ukrspecexport, part of the Ukroboronprom State Concern.

The Ukroboronprom State Concern incorporates state-owned enterprises that develop, manufacture, sell, repair, upgrade and dispose of weapons, military equipment and ammunition, as well as take part in military and technical cooperation with foreign countries.
