The Focus magazine has published the list of the top ten manufacturers of Ukrainian products, the so called "agricultural kings."

KYIV, August 9 /Ukrinform/. The Focus magazine has published the list of the top ten manufacturers of Ukrainian products, the so called "agricultural kings."

A respective rating was published in the latest issue of the magazine.

"Domestic agricultural businesses currently have a Ukrainian face. The biggest manufacturer of grain is Oleh Bakhmatiuk, chairman and owner of the Ukrlandfarming and Avandgardco agricultural holdings. In recent years, he has been actively expanding his activities abroad - he already owns a dozen agricultural companies around the world," reads the statement.

The magazine also named the leader in poultry meat production - Yuriy Kosiuk, chairman of PJSC Myronivsky Hliboproduct, reminding that this year he managed to get permission to import chicken to the EU.

The "king of sunflower oil," according to Focus, is Andriy Verevsky, the owner of the Kernel Group agricultural holding. In 2013, the billionaire continued to increase his land bank. The purchase of 80% of shares of Druzhba-Nova allowed Kernel to become the second-largest land user in Ukraine.

The top sugar producer in the country, according to the magazine, is Viktor Ivanchyk, a co-owner of Astarta-Kyiv. His company is the leader in sugar production, which continues to increase its production capacity despite the fact that the Ukrainian sugar market is in a difficult position because of oversupply and low prices for this product.

At the same time, the magazine said that the oligarchs whose names were earlier associated mainly with the steel industry and finance are also increasing their agricultural assets, including Rinat Akhmetov, Vadim Novinsky, Serhiy Taruta and Ihor Kolomoisky.

- Valeriy Korotkov, co-owner of Astarta-Kyiv;

- Rinat Akhmetov, co-owner of the HarvEast agricultural holding;

- Vadim Novinsky, co-owner of the HarvEast agricultural holding;

- Yuriy Zhuravliov, owner of the Agroton group of companies;

- Ihor Kolomoisky, co-owner of Privat Agro Holding, part of the Privat Group;

- Serhiy Taruta, co-owner of the Industrial Union of Donbas;
