PM Groysman orders audit of cultural artefacts after theft of incunabula

Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman has ordered Deputy Prime Minister Pavlo Rozenko and Culture Minister Yevhen Nyshchuk to carry out a public audit of cultural values managed by the state, the premier told a government meeting on Wednesday, Ukrinform reports.
This order is related to the incident that occurred recently when "The Apostle" incunabula was stolen from the Vernadsky Library in Kyiv.
"The time has come when we have to carry out a meticulous audit of all that we have to understand what has been lost. This is why I now want to order Deputy Prime Minister Rozenko along with the Minister of Culture to look into carryng out a comprehensive check of inventory so that all Ukrainian citizens know what the state manages," said Groysman.
In particular, the Prime Minister said that "as far as I understand, this is not the first time that rare unique works have disappeared from depositories."
