Ambassador Jan Pieklo offers to hold joint economic forum in Kramatorsk – Donetsk Regional State Administration

“We understand that Donetsk region is a zone of conflict, where there is a confrontation with Russia. We can train skilled civil servants, but the state doesn’t have a direct impact on business. Therefore, we offer to hold a joint economic forum in Kramatorsk, during which our entrepreneurs will be able to get acquainted with all the advantages of doing business in this territory," said Jan Pieklo in Kramatorsk.

According to him, Poland is ready to conduct trainings for civil servants and entrepreneurs, as well as to involve experts for exchanging experience on the process of decentralization. Poland has passed a very similar path, therefore it has a great experience in forming communities, creating effective local self-government bodies and is ready to provide any assistance in this process, said Pieklo.

Head of Donetsk Regional State Administration and Regional Military and Civil Administration Pavlo Zhebrivsky, in turn, said that an economic forum will soon be held in Donetsk region and noted the need for carrying out this forum in the format offered by Jan Pieklo.
