Ukraine’s retail trade turnover grew by 8.2% in 2017 - State Statistics
According to data provided by the State Statistics, Ukraine's retail trade turnover over the first ten months of 2017 amounted to UAH 651.1905 billion or 108.2% (in comparable prices) against the same period last year. In October 2017, retail trade turnover increased by 4.2% compared to October 2016.
The biggest growth in retail trade turnover in January-October 2017 was recorded in Zakarpattia (19.7%), Odesa (15.2%) and Vinnytsia (13.3%) regions.
The leaders in terms of absolute volume of retail sales in January-October 2017 were Kyiv city (+UAH 126.338 billion), Dnipropetrovsk (UAH 57.273 billion), Kharkiv (UAH 51.948 billion), and Odesa (UAH 51.106 billion) regions.
The biggest decrease in retail trade turnover over was recorded in Volyn (4.9%), Ternopil (2.1%), and Luhansk (1.7%) regions.
Data provided by the State Statistics Service on retail trade turnover in Ukraine excluded the temporarily occupied territories in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Sevastopol and some parts of the ATO zone in Donbas.
