The Ukrainian economy faced new challenges in 2017 but despite this it continued to grow.
First Vice Prime Minister - Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine Stepan Kubiv said this during the annual press conference, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.
"In 2017, Ukraine continued to fight against Russian aggression and faced new challenges, in particular, the cessation of the cargo transfer through the collision line. Many pessimists said that there would be no economic growth, but in Q3 the GDP grew by 2.3%," Kubiv said.
He noted that the system of risk forecasting and management testifies to the professional approach of the Ministry of Economy. "We forecast the GDP growth of 3% for 2018. But Moody's gives more optimistic forecast - 3.5%," the official added.
