Average salary in Ukraine increased by 37.1% since beginning of 2017 - Reva

In January-October 2017, the average salary in Ukraine increased by 37.1% compared with the corresponding period in 2016.

Social Policy Minister Andriy Reva stated this at an annual press conference, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"The average monthly salary in January-October of 2017 increased by 37.1% compared to the corresponding period of 2016 and amounted to UAH 6,900 per month," Reva said.

He also noted that the actual wage in Ukraine grew by over 18% during the corresponding period.

In addition, the minister recalled that the minimum wage increased to UAH 3,200 per month from January 1, 2017.

"So, 3.5 million workers in the state-financed organizations had a pay rise," he said.
