Ukrainian airports see a 19% rise in passenger flow in January-February 2018

In January-February 2018, the number of passengers carried by Ukrainian airlines rose by 8.8% compared to the corresponding period in 2017, and the passenger traffic flow through Ukrainian airports increased by 19.3%, according to the State Aviation Service of Ukraine.

“In January-February 2018, the volume of passenger-carrying operations of Ukrainian airlines increased by 8.8% compared to the same period last year and totaled 1,344.4 thousand people. The volume of international passenger-carrying operations grew by 8.3% and totaled 1,197.4 people,” reads the report.

The passenger traffic flow through Ukrainian airports grew by 19.3% and totaled 2,325.4 thousand, and the number of passengers served on international flights grew by 20.2% and totaled 2,027.9 thousand people.

In January-February 2018, Ukrainian airlines operated 12.6 thousand commercial flights, which is 2.4% more compared to the same period in 2017. The number of international flights remained at the level of the previous year and totaled 10.3 thousand.

As Ukrinform reported, the number of passengers carried by Ukrainian airlines in January 2018 increased by 6.5% compared to the same period in 2017.The passenger traffic flow through Ukrainian airports grew by 17.9%.
