Construction industry in Ukraine remains stable - Partskhaladze

Deputy Minister of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Utilities Lev Partskhaladze stated this, the government’s press service reports..

“In the first three months of 2018, Ukrainian enterprises carried out construction works worth over UAH 18 billion. Compared with the previous year’s indicators, results are almost the same. It means that the construction industry has maintained its stable performance, which was record-breaking in 2017," he said.

The index of the construction of engineering facilities over the reporting period made up 99.5%, construction of buildings 99.8% (non-residential buildings – 96.5%, residential buildings – 104.4%).

In the context of the regions, the leaders in performance of construction works were Kharkiv region (UAH 2.1 billion), Dnipropetrovsk region (UAH 2 billion), Odesa region (UAH 1.6), and the city of Kyiv (UAH 4.8 billion). The leaders in construction growth were Vinnytsia region (193.8%) and Chernivtsi region (143.5%).

New construction, reconstruction, and technical re-equipment made up 83.3% of the total volume of completed construction works, major and current repairs – 8.1% and 8.6% respectively.
