Aslund hails Ukraine's economic growth

Atlantic Council analyst Anders Aslund has welcomed data on economic growth in Ukraine, which was published by the State Statistics Service of Ukraine on May 15, according to the Ukrainian service of the Voice of America.
"Ukraine: finally some good economic news. Gross domestic product rose a preliminary 3.1% yoy in Q1 after growing only 2.2% in Q4 2017," Aslund wrote on Twitter.
The Economist Intelligence Unit analyst Agathe Demarais, in turn, said that the growth of the economy had been facilitated by "growing household demand and still booming investment."
