Company from Kherson region increases export of peeled onions to the UK by 7.5 times

The Green Team Company located in the city of Kakhovka in Kherson region has increased the export of peeled onions to the United Kingdom by 7.5 times since 2015.
Manager of the Green Team Company Natalia Karasevych informed this at a meeting with the China Overseas Development Association delegation, which was held within the framework of the 2nd Ukrainian-Chinese Economic Cooperation Forum on Thursday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"In 2015, we built a workshop for peeling onions. We export these products to the UK. In 2015, the export volume [of peeled onions] was about 400 tons, and in 2017 - 3 thousand tons," she said.
She noted that the Green Team Company had recently also engaged in the production of niche crops - sweet potato and butternut pumpkin.
