Ukraine, Israel agree on free trade deal. Photos

"One of the main results of the visit of Pavlo Klimkin was discussion of the readiness of the free trade agreement between Ukraine and Israel with the leadership of the State of Israel at the political level. The negotiations on conclusion of the free trade agreement have lasted almost six years," the statement reads.
The Foreign Ministry of Ukraine reports that the 11th meeting of the Joint Ukrainian-Israeli Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation was held in Jerusalem on June 11 under the co-chairmanship of Pavlo Klimkin and Zeev Elkin, the Minister for Environmental Protection, Jerusalem Affairs and the Heritage of Israel.
During the meeting, the parties discussed a package of issues of common interest, particularly in the areas of trade and investment, agriculture and water management, energy and communications, standardization and tourism.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin also met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The parties discussed bilateral cooperation and oncoming visit of the Israeli Prime Minister to Ukraine.
