Agricultural products trade between Ukraine and EU reaches almost $4 bln in half a year
"In January-June of 2018, the trade in agricultural products between Ukraine and the European Union grew up to $3.9 billion," the press service of the National Scientific Centre "Institute of Agrarian Economics" reports.
The Netherlands, Spain, Italy, Poland, France and Germany remain the largest trading partners of Ukraine in the EU. Their cumulative share is about 3/4 of the mutual agricultural products trade.
Ukraine mostly exports grain crops ($975 million), oil-yielding crops ($235 million), sunflower oil ($527 million) and cattle cake ($ 246 million) to the EU.
In turn, Ukraine mainly imports alcoholic beverages, seeds of grain and oil-yielding crops for sowing, animal feedstuff and tobacco from the EU.
