The Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU) has imposed a UAH 1.5 million fine on the Join UP! tour operator for spreading untrue information about cooperation with the UIA and Windrose airlines, AMCU Chairman Yuriy Terentyev has written on his Facebook page.

"The AMCU has imposed a UAH 1.5 million fine on the Join UP! tour operator for spreading inaccurate information as to which airlines will transport tourists," Terentyev wrote.

He said that the tour operator had informed potential clients that flights will be performed by Ukraine International Airlines (UIA) and Windrose, but Join UP! had not signed the relevant agreements with these companies.

Terentyev said that this was the second fine imposed by the AMCU on Join UP! this year. In January, the tour operator was fined UAH 68,000 for false advertising.
