Deputy Minister for Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture Yulia Svyrydenko has held a meeting with representatives of the German Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digitalisation of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia to discuss the deepening of bilateral cooperation in the field of innovation, industry and possible creation of new chains of regional cooperation.

The Ukrainian ministry's press service wrote about this on its Facebook page.

"The conversation was focused on deepening bilateral cooperation in the field of innovation, industry and the possibility of creating new chains of regional cooperation," reads the report.

According to Svyrydenko, the Ukrainian government is currently implementing key reforms - large-scale privatization of state-owned enterprises, the agricultural sector reform and the de-monopolization of the energy sector. These are key aspects in strengthening the Ukrainian economy and forming the country's investment attractiveness.

"At the same time, we will continue to create conditions for deepening regional cooperation between Ukrainian and European enterprises so that to give impetus for creating new projects and exchanging experience between our countries," Svyrydenko noted.
