Naftogaz to pay almost UAH 40 bln in dividends in 2020

Naftogaz of Ukraine will pay UAH 39.7 billion in dividends to the state budget in 2020, a significant part of which will be used to implement the Big Construction program, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal has said.
He wrote this in his Telegram channel following a government meeting on Wednesday.
"A report by Andriy Kobolyev on the audit of Naftogaz conducted by Deloitte was heard at the government meeting. In 2020, the company will pay dividends of UAH 39.7 billion (in addition to UAH 8.5 billion paid in December 2019)," Shmyhal wrote.
According to him, a significant part of these funds, at the initiative of the president, will be spent on the Big Construction program (roads, schools, kindergartens) and on the reconstruction of 210 admission departments of hub hospitals.
Naftogaz's net consolidated profit for 2019 amounted to UAH 63.3 billion.
