Lufthansa launches first direct flight from Frankfurt to Lviv

The grand opening of a Lufthansa flight on the Frankfurt (Main)-Lviv-Frankfurt (Main) route took place at Lviv Danylo Halytskyi International Airport on April 30, the press service of Lviv City Council has reported.
"Last year, due to the coronavirus, we stopped flights from this airport to Germany. Now, due to close economic relations and cultural ties, we are relaunching flight, but this time from Frankfurt," said Rene Koinzack, General Manager of Lufthansa Group in Ukraine.
Flights will initially be operated three times a week - on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays; and from June 1, the frequency of flights will increase to six per week (Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays).
