Zelensky expects Ukraine-Lithuania bilateral trade to return to pre-pandemic levels
He said this at a joint press conference in President of Lithuania Gitanas Nausėda in Vilnius, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“Based on the results of the current year, we expect that the volumes of bilateral trade in goods and services will resume the positive dynamics and indicators of the pre-covid period. We have agreed that we will be able to sum up the results of the relevant work at the end of the year at the regular meeting of the Council of Presidents of Ukraine and the Republic of Lithuania,” Zelensky said.
The President stressed that Ukraine and Lithuania are currently successfully implementing mutually beneficial cooperation in the framework of a strategic partnership, which, according to him, is multidimensional and dynamic, filled with certain projects and initiatives.
The Head of State also stressed that Lithuania is one of the most active lobbyists for maintaining EU sanctions against Russia and an active participant in the Crimean Platform initiative.
As reported by Ukrinform, on July 6-7, President Volodymyr Zelensky is on an official visit to the Republic of Lithuania, where he takes part in the Ukraine Reform Conference.
Ukraine Reform Conference was launched in 2017 in London as a format for uniting partners and friends of Ukraine. The forum participants discuss the situation in the country and assess the democratic transformations and reforms that have been taking place since 2014.
President of Lithuania Gitanas Nauseda paid an official visit to Ukraine on March 18-19, 2021, during which a regular meeting of the Council of Presidents of Ukraine and the Republic of Lithuania was held.
