Electricity exports plunge 35.5% over last week – Ukrenergo
At the same time, last week's imports amounted to 0.6 million kWh, Ukrinform reports referring to NEC Ukrenergo.
It is noted that the decrease in exports occurred from the two trade zones: the Burshtyn TPP Island – by 57.8%, from 51.3 million kWh to 21.64 million kWh, and the UEG of Ukraine – by 4.1 %, from 36.4 million kWh to 34.9 million kWh.
In particular, exports to Hungary fell 52.4%, to Romania – by 56.5%, and to Slovakia exports amounted to just 0.04 million kWh.
It is noted that on August 2-8, electricity was imported only to the Burshtyn TPP Island. Coming from Slovakia, imports amounted to 0.6 million kWh, which is twice the numbers reported the previous week. At the same time, all imports came within a few hours on August 8.
No electricity was imported into the UEG of Ukraine trade zone from Russia and Belarus.
As reported, in June 2021, electricity imports amounted to 4.4 million kWh, the lowest since the launch of the new market in July 2019.
