Ukraine’s average pension grows by 25% since Jan 2020

The Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine claims that the average pension in the country has increased by 25% since the beginning of 2020.
According to Ukrinform, this was reported on the ministry’s Facebook page.
"As a result of a comprehensive program to increase pensions, the average pension in Ukraine has grown by almost 25% or UAH 784 since the beginning of 2020. So, as of January 1, 2020, the average pension was UAH 3,082.98, and as of August 1, 2021, it was UAH 3,866.84," the report reads.
Earlier, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said that Ukraine plans to introduce social packages with funded pensions in 2023.
