NBU bought $159M on interbank foreign exchange market last week

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) purchased $159 million on the interbank foreign exchange market last week, according to data provided by the central bank.

According to the results of foreign exchange interventions, the National Bank bought $159 million on the interbank foreign exchange market between August 30 and September 3, 2021. The regulator also sold $7 million over the reporting period.

Since the start of 2021, the National Bank sold $197 million and purchased $1.54 billion on the interbank foreign exchange market.

As reported by Ukrinform, the National Bank sold $3.891 billion and purchased $4.929 billion on the interbank foreign exchange market in 2020.
