Zakarpattia region budget receives almost UAH 7M in tourist tax revenues

Since the beginning of 2021, local budgets of Zakarpattia region received UAH 6.9 million in tourist tax payments, which is 36.1% more than in the pre-pandemic period of 2019.
According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the Tourism and Resorts Department of Zakarpattia Regional State Administration.
"In January-August 2021, the local budgets of Zakarpattia region received UAH 6,916,000 of tourist tax payments, which is 82.6% more than in the same period last year and 36.1% more than in the same period in 2019," the report reads.
At the same time, 22 territorial communities of the region did not receive tourist tax payments at all for January-August 2021.
