Ukrainian solvent banks received UAH 45.6B in profit in Jan-Aug 2021

The net profit of Ukrainian solvent banks amounted to UAH 45.6 billion in January-August 2021, which is UAH 13 billion more than in the same period last year.
The press service of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) posted this on its Telegram channel, Ukrinform reports.
In January-August 2021, solvent banks received UAH 45.6 billion in net profit, which is 40% more than in the same period last year.
Banks' revenues for the first eight months of 2021 grew by 2% compared to the result of January-August 2020 and amounted to UAH 172.7 billion, expenses decreased by 7% to UAH 127.1 billion.
As Ukrinform reported, the net profit of Ukrainian banks in 2020 amounted to UAH 41.3 billion, which is 29% less than in 2019.
