Rada plans to increase 2021 budget expenditures by nearly UAH 40B

According to an Ukrinform correspondent, 293 MPs voted for this decision at a parliament meeting on Thursday, September 23.

It is proposed to increase the expenditures of this year's budget by UAH 39.4 billion.

The bill proposes allocating an additional UAH 1.8 million to the State Management of Affairs, UAH 10 million to the Economic and Financial Department of the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers, UAH 268 million to the Ministry of Veterans Affairs (national expenditures and lending), UAH 4.092 billion to the Ministry of Defense, UAH 2.087 billion to the Ministry of Health, UAH 2 billion to the National Health Service, UAH 1.007 billion to the Ministry of Energy, UAH 12.05 billion to the Ministry of Social Policy, UAH 770.237 million to the Ministry of Infrastructure, UAH 4 billion to the Ministry of Finance (national expenditures and lending), UAH 176.8 million to the Ministry of Justice, UAH 9.248 million to the National Security and Defense Council, and UAH 280.51 million to the Security Service of Ukraine.

Ukraine's draft state budget for 2022 was presented in parliament this week. The country's projected nominal GDP in 2022 is UAH 5.369 trillion. Real GDP growth is projected at 3.8%. Half of all planned budget expenditures (UAH 1.465 trillion) are to be spent on health care, social protection and education. Some 21% of the funds are to be earmarked for the security and defense sector. Capital expenditures will grow by almost UAH 17 billion compared to this year's target.
