NBU provides UAH 60M in refinancing to two banks

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) provided UAH 60 million in refinancing to two banks, Ukrinform reports, referring to the central bank’s press service.

“On November 12, 2021, a quantitative tender was held for the refinancing of banks for a term of 28 days. The application of two banks for a total sum of UAH 60.0 million at an interest rate of 9.50% per annum was satisfied,” the report says.

As Ukrinform reported, the National Bank suspended long-term refinancing and interest rate swaps from the fourth quarter of 2021. In addition, from October 1, the maturity of refinancing loans at weekly tenders was reduced from 90 to 30 days.
