Volume of aviation equipment sales may exceed UAH 300B by 2030 – Shmyhal

The volume of aviation equipment sales in Ukraine in the period up to 2030 is estimated at over UAH 300 billion, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal wrote on Facebook.

According to the Prime Minister, aircraft manufacturing can become one of the drivers of industrial production. He noted that the development strategy of the aviation industry was discussed last week at the infrastructure forum “Great Construction: Aviation. Tourism.”

"Due to the implementation of this strategy, the volume of aviation equipment sales in the period up to 2030 is estimated at over UAH 300 billion," Shmyhal wrote, adding that this year Ukraine has invested UAH 3.4 billion in aviation infrastructure.

"In addition, we are implementing a targeted program for the development of aircraft manufacturing for 2021-2030, which provides UAH 34 billion of investment in the industry. 45 high-tech aircraft manufacturing companies received tax benefits until January 1, 2025: exemption from income tax, VAT, land tax," the Prime Minister wrote.

As Ukrinform reported, in a speech at the forum “Great Construction: Aviation. Tourism”, President Volodymyr Zelensky announced plans to build two airports in eastern Ukraine and another one in Zakarpattia region.
