Ukraine is implementing eight projects worth a total of EUR 1.7 billion in cooperation with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), Ukrinform reports, referring to the Finance Ministry’s press service.

"As of November 1, 2021, there were eight projects worth EUR 1.7 billion in the implementation phase in the public sector, the funds for which were attracted from the EBRD by the state or under state guarantees," reads the report.

According to the Finance Ministry, on November 30, 2021, under the chairmanship of Deputy Finance Minister Oleksandr Kava, an online review of the EBRD's project portfolio in Ukraine took place. The current portfolio of projects in the infrastructure and energy sectors was discussed, as well as potential new projects that could be financed using EBRD loans. Based on the results of the portfolio review, the parties agreed on an action plan for the next six months and outlined certain steps to be taken by stakeholders for the timely and quality implementation of investment projects.

As reported, the EBRD is a leading institutional investor in Ukraine. Overall, the EBRD has invested EUR 15.6 billion in 507 projects across the country.
