Banks provided UAH 1.36B under Affordable Loans program last week

Last week authorized banks issued 491 loans for a total sum of UAH 1.36 billion under the government’s program “Affordable Loans at 5-7-9%", Ukrinform reports, referring to the Finance Ministry’s press service.
Since the start of the program, authorized banks have issued 28,150 loans for a total sum of UAH 74.9 billion. In particular, UAH 22.64 billion was issued as refinancing of previously received loans, UAH 8.99 billion was received by entrepreneurs for investment purposes and UAH 43.26 billion as anti-crisis loans.
As reported, the Cabinet of Ministers approved a resolution to launch the program "Affordable Loans at 5-7-9%" from February 1, 2020.
The program is implemented by the Entrepreneurship Development Fund, which has concluded cooperation agreements with 39 banks.
