Exports of Ukrainian products to Colombia may triple
Head of the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection Vladyslava Mahaletska made a relevant statement during her visit to Colombia, Ukrinform reports with reference to the Service.
According to her, the issues of export of Ukrainian poultry products, veterinary medicines, feed additives, confectionery, alcohol, beans, sunflower oil, and oilseed meal were discussed during the meetings.
In addition, imports of coffee beans, fresh flowers, fruit, fish and seafood from Colombia to Ukraine were discussed.
"Colombia can become one of the trade hubs for Ukrainian goods. After all, this country has many free trade agreements with the countries of the region – within the Andean Community of Nations, with the Triangle countries, Chile. Ukrainian goods are still represented here very poorly despite the significant potential," Mahaletska stressed.
As reported, the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Ministry of Economy jointly work out mechanisms to open new markets for Ukrainian exports.
