Ukrhydroenergo tops ranking of most profitable state-owned companies

Having made a profit of UAH 9.14 billion, PJSC Ukrhydroenergo, Ukraine’s largest hydro-generating company, has topped the ranking of state-owned companies that showed the best financial results in January-September 2021.

As the company's press service informs, the ranking includes the 15 largest state-owned companies in Ukraine, which were selected by the Government for the corporate governance reform in accordance with the guidelines of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD).

Along with Ukrhydroenergo, the largest profits were made by the Gas Transmission System Operator of Ukraine – UAH 5.8 billion, the National Nuclear Energy Generating Company “Energoatom” – UAH 2.35 billion, the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority – UAH 1.44 billion, and Ukroboronprom – UAH 797 million.

As reported, over the first nine months of 2021, Ukrhydroenergo's net income from sales amounted to UAH 14,874.3 million, an increase of UAH 1,428.2 million compared to projections.

In January-September, the company paid taxes, fees, and other obligatory payments (including dividends) to the budgets of all levels in the amount of UAH 5,220.4 million, an increase of UAH 2,375.2 million compared to the same period in 2020.
