State Service on Food Safety refunded UAH 11.4M to consumers in 2021

According to Head of the State Service on Food Safety, Vladyslava Mahaletska, this indicates an increase in the efficiency of work on consumer rights’ protection.

“Consumers in Ukraine have started to complain more about violations of their rights. Over the past year, the number of considered complaints has increased by 21%," Mahaletska noted.

Overall, in 2021, the State Service on Food Safety and Consumer Protection received almost 25,000 appeals, complaints, applications and proposals from consumers, most of which related to the quality of non-food products and provided services.

As Ukrinform reported, in 2021, the State Service on Food Safety and Consumer Protection conducted more than 21.2 thousand checks of business entities, of which 20.7 thousand were unscheduled.
