Ukraine’s pig iron production down almost 2%

In January 2022, Ukraine produced 1.79 million tonnes of pig iron, which is 1.8% less compared to the same period in 2021, Ukrinform reports with reference to the Ukrmetalurgprom Association.
According to preliminary data provided by the association, in January 2022, Ukraine produced 1.79 million tonnes of pig iron (down 1.8% from the same period in 2021), 1.86 million tonnes of steel (up 0.9%), and 1.67 million tonnes of rolled metal (down 0.5%).
As reported by Ukrinform, in 2021, Ukraine produced 21.17 million tonnes of pig iron (up 3.6% from 2020), 21.37 million tonnes of steel (up 3.6%), and 19.08 million tonnes of rolled metal (up 3.5%).
