Zelensky: Ukraine invites Dutch business to ‘create new success stories’
“We are interested in developing trade, economic and investment cooperation. Our trade turnover has exceeded 2.5 billion but we want much more,” President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said at a joint briefing with Prime Minister of the Netherlands Mark Rutte, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
He noted that the Ukrainian side invited large Dutch companies to “discover Ukraine and create new success stories in the areas where we have great prospects. These are alternative energy, river transport, water management, waste management, agriculture, etc.”
The security situation in Ukraine and on the continent, the steps for a peaceful settlement were also discussed in detail during the meeting.
Zelensky thanked the Netherlands for its help in rehabilitating and treating wounded Ukrainian service members. He added he was glad to hear that this program continued.
In addition, the parties touched upon strengthening cooperation in Ukraine's European and Euro-Atlantic integration.
As reported, Prime Minister of the Netherlands Mark Rutte and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands Wopke Hoekstra arrived in Ukraine on a two-day visit.
The prime ministers of Poland and the United Kingdom also arrived in Kyiv on February 1.
The President of Turkey is expected to visit Ukraine this week.
