As part of a Free Trade Area (FTA) Agreement, Ukraine and Turkey have agreed on the full liberalization of motor transportation services.

According to Ukrinform, Infrastructure Minister Oleksandr Kubrakov wrote this on his Facebook page.

"Within the framework of the FTA Agreement, a historic agreement on the full liberalization of road transportation services has been reached. Restrictions on Ukrainian motor carriers on the Turkish market will be lifted soon, including the entry of empty vehicles. Thus, trucks will be able to drive in empty and return carrying goods,” the minister wrote.

According to him, the next step is expanding cooperation on combined and multimodal transportation services between Ukraine and Turkey. "We propose that special conditions be created for the establishing road-port-road transport chains," the minister explained.

As reported, Ukraine and Turkey signed the FTA Agreement on February 3. The document contains an infrastructure part that will be the basis for deepening bilateral cooperation and work on new infrastructure projects.
