UK guarantees $450M of World Bank loan to Ukraine

The British Embassy in Ukraine said this on Twitter, Ukrinform reports.

“Yesterday the UK guaranteed $450m of a $1.5bn to Ukraine through a World Bank loan, to support vital public services. The British Ambassador to Ukraine Melinda Simmons signed the guarantee from Kyiv,” the embassy said.

The World Bank's Board of Executive Directors on June 7 decided to provide Ukraine with $ 1.49 billion in additional funding under the Public Expenditures for Administrative Capacity Endurance in Ukraine Project, increasing the total support package to more than $4 billion.
