Destroyed Kremenchuk Refinery can’t be restored this year
Poltava Regional Military Administration head Dmytro Lunin reported the news on the national telethon, as seen by Ukrinform.
“All the facilities will eventually be rebuilt in Poltava region and across Ukraine and everything will work again. Unfortunately, as I said earlier, the refinery won’ be operational this year due to considerable damage. However, the combined heat and power plant is also very important to us, because during the heating season we must supply hot water and heating. So now we will hold a meeting on this issue to assess how much the situation has deteriorated,” said the head of Poltava region.
The official said that rescuers have already put out fires at both facilities. No casualties were reported. Lunin added that experts will determine the scope of destruction and the amount of damage.
Ukrinform reported that the Russians attacked an oil refinery and a CHPP in Kremenchuk, Poltava region, with six to eight missiles Saturday morning.
