United States provided over $1.45B in humanitarian aid to Ukraine since war started

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, the U.S. government has provided more than $1.45 billion in humanitarian aid to Ukraine.

The U.S. Embassy in Ukraine wrote on Twitter, Ukrinform reports.

“Since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion, which has displaced 6.3 million people, the U.S. government has helped by providing more than $1.45 billon in humanitarian assistance to provide food, water, shelter, emergency health care and medical supplies, and more,” the report reads.

As reported, on July 23, the Biden Administration announced a new package of security assistance to Ukraine in the amount of up to $175 million, which will include providing weapons to the Armed Forces of Ukraine and training the Ukrainian military.

During Biden's presidency, the United States allocated about $8.2 billion for security assistance to Ukraine.
