Ukrainian government offers IMF to intensify work on new program – PM Shmyhal

The Cabinet of Ministers offers the International Monetary Fund to enhance joint work on a new program.

Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal wrote this on Twitter following a conversation with Alfred Kammer, the Director of the European Department at the International Monetary Fund, Ukrinform reports.

“The government proposes to intensify joint work on a new IMF program. Told about this during a conversation with Alfred Kammer. While the Ukraine’s Armed Forces resist russian aggression and protect the entire civilized world, we are working to strengthen economic stability of Ukraine,” he wrote.

According to the prime minister, the support of partners is very important.

As reported, Ukraine aims to conclude an agreement with the International Monetary Fund for $15-20 billion by the end of 2022.
