Harvesting of early grain crops completed in Odesa Region

The relevant statement was made by Press Secretary of the Head of Odesa Regional Military Administration Aliona Novichkova on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Odesa Region is Ukraine’s first region to have completed the harvesting of early grain crops. In 2022, a total of 2.5 million tonnes of crops were harvested. In particular, a total of 1.63 million tonnes of winter wheat was threshed from 627.3 thousand hectares,” Novichkova wrote.

In her words, the yield of winter barley came to 692 thousand tonnes, early barley – 82.6 thousand tonnes, rapeseed – 242.4 thousand tonnes.

A reminder that, on August 1, 2022, Ukraine’s grain exports by sea were resumed with the vessel Razoni leaving Odesa Port to deliver 26,000 tonnes of Ukrainian-produced corn to Lebanon’s Port of Tripoli.
