"Grain Corridor": 27 ships leave Ukrainian ports, nearly 40 applications pending

That’s according to the Ministry of Infrastructure, Ukrinform reports.

"20 days since the start of the ‘grain corridor,’ 27 ships carrying a total of 670,000 tonnes of agricultural products have left Ukrainian seaports," the report reads.

Also, 18 ships have been loaded, and about 40 applications for westbound ports are now under consideration.

"Ukraine complies with its obligations to the world in the fight against global hunger. We thank our allies for fulfilling security guarantees in the Black Sea," the Ministry of Infrastructure emphasized.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, on July 22 in Istanbul, at the suggestion of the United Nations, Ukraine, Turkey, and UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres signed the Initiative on the safe transportation of grain and food products from the ports of Odesa, Chornomorsk, and Pivdennyi.
