President Zelensky: Ukraine and partners daily fight for safety of Zaporizhzhia NPP

The relevant statement was made by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in his video address, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Ukrainian diplomats and our partners continue fighting for the safety of Zaporizhzhia NPP on a daily basis. Today I want to thank all of those who are mobilizing the world’s response to the Russian nuclear blackmail, as well as all our nuclear engineers, power engineers, whose professional competence is now literally saving both Ukraine and Europe, when they are countering the effects of the Russian terror at the plant,” Zelensky told.

In his words, the situation at Zaporizhzhia NPP is remaining dangerous. Any further disconnections from the power grid may again leave it one step away from a disaster.

The President of Ukraine stressed the importance of the IAEA mission arriving at Zaporizhzhia NPP as soon as possible. He also emphasized the need to withdraw Russian troops from the territory of the plant.
