Three more grain ships depart from Ukrainian ports

Three more ships carrying Ukrainian grain left the ports of Odesa and Chornomorsk on Monday.

According to Ukrinform, the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority said this in a Facebook post.

"Today, three ships left the ports of Odesa and Chornomorsk, with 40,000 tonnes of wheat and corn sent to the ports of Egypt, Romania, and Turkey. By the end of the day, three bulk cargo ships are expected to arrive at the ports of Great Odesa to load wheat, sunflower, and corn," the statement said.

It added that on August 27-28, the ports of Great Odesa accepted 13 ships to load 290,000 tonnes of wheat, corn and oil. These ships will head for the ports of Libya, Spain, Italy, Israel, Germany, Egypt and Turkey. At the same time, nine ships carrying 271,000 tonnes of wheat, oil, barley, rapeseed and corn were sent to the ports of Spain, the Netherlands, Egypt, Turkey, France and China.

In general, as part of the implementation of the Initiative on the Safe Transportation of Grain and Foodstuffs from Ukrainian ports (the Black Sea Grain Initiative), 56 ships left Ukrainian ports during the 29 days of operation of the grain corridor, which transported more than 1.3 million tonnes of agricultural products to 18 countries.
