Eight more ships carrying food leave Ukrainian ports
That’s according to the press service of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine, Ukrinform reports.
"Grain initiative: eight ships with 137,800 tonnes of agricultural products left Ukrainian ports for countries in Asia and Europe," the statement reads.
It is noted that the bulk carriers HASAN G, UMIT G, and the MERA tanker left the berths of the Pivdennyi port.
From the port of Chornomorsk, the ANASTASIA, FALCON S, SERENITY IBTIHAJ, MAGNOLIA, and SILVER LADY vessels departed.
Since the start of the Grain Initiative, 6.39 million tonnes of agricultural products have been exported from Ukraine.
A total of 282 ships left Ukrainian ports, carrying agricultural products bound for Asia, Europe, and Africa.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, on July 22 in Istanbul, at the proposal of the United Nations, Ukraine, Turkey, and UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres signed the Initiative on the safe transportation of grain and food products from the ports of Odesa, Chornomorsk, and Pivdennyi.
The first ship carrying a load of Ukrainian food products left the port of Odesa on August 1.
