Seven ships with Ukrainian grain leave for Asian and European countries

Seven more ships carrying 172,600 tonnes of agricultural products have departed for countries in Asia and Europe as part of the Black Sea Grain Initiative.

Ukraine's Ministry of Infrastructure reported this on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.

According to the report, the bulk carrier CORNELIA M with 60,000 tonnes of Ukrainian wheat left for Vietnam from the ️Pivdennyi port. The ships SHAMAN WISDOM, LADY EVA, ORIS SOFI left the berths of the Odesa port. The bulk carriers LAURUS, ENEIDA and the tanker CHEM HERO departed from the port of Chornomorsk.

Since the departure of the first ship with Ukrainian foodstuffs, 6.6 million tonnes of agricultural products have been exported. As many as 292 ships with food for countries in Asia, Europe and Africa left Ukrainian ports.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, on July 22 in Istanbul, at the proposal of the United Nations, Ukraine, Turkey, and UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres signed the Initiative on the Safe Transportation of Grain and Foodstuffs from the Ukrainian ports of Odesa, Chornomorsk, and Pivdennyi.
